Supplier Ethics and Compliance
NLMK Group operates in accordance with applicable laws and high ethical standards of doing business. Compliance with NLMK's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct is an essential condition for every NLMK Group employee.
NLMK's Code of Ethics and Business Conduct sets out the basic rules for the ethical interaction of our employees with each other, as well as with other stakeholders, i.e. shareholders, counterparties, regulators and other parties whose interests are affected by our business. The Code outlines basic principles governing both the conduct of our company as a whole and the individual conduct of each of our employees. These principles link together our corporate values and the rules set forth in the company's bylaws. Through continuous improvement, we strive not only to comply literally with the standards set out in the Code and bylaws, but also to follow the spirit of the Code in every aspect of our operations.

Our partners' commitment to the principles of sustainable development is an important factor that is taken into account by NLMK Group when deciding whether or not to give preference to a particular supplier or contractor in the bidding procedures. To assess our partners' compliance with sustainable development criteria, the company has developed a special questionnaire to learn about the partners' performance in environmental protection, social policy and corporate governance.
In order to ensure due consideration of the issues involving company’s suppliers and contractors NLMK Group set up a special Conciliation Commission. The Conciliation Commission consists of Compliance, Health & Safety and Risk Management representatives under the chairmanship of NLMK Group Legal Director.
Any person can use NLMK Independent Compliance Helpline to apply to the Conciliation Commission.
If you become aware of any violation related to NLMK relations with suppliers, please report it to NLMK Independent Compliance Helpline. We guarantee that your report will be given due consideration. We also guarantee confidentiality and protection against any form of retaliation to any person that reported a violation in good faith. Your report can be anonymous.
